Item upgrading allows players to enhance their weapons and gear with new affixes that boost its stats base or giving additional benefits. To upgrade items, the player must have the item upgrader in their inventory, and also access the kiln.

Items that have weak bases, such as rings, can be upgraded into more robust bases. Items with strong bases, such as the Titans of eth have little changes in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, providing an attribute bonus or additional impact when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, or found in loot, thrown away by enemies, or obtained as rewards from missions or chests. Certain upgrades come with additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be above a certain level before they are upgraded.

To upgrade the quality of a weapon, armor or other item in the game, players must select it and then click on the Upgrade button on the toolbar. This will display on the right-hand side of the screen a preview that shows the expected upgrade stats and the components or materials required for the upgrade.

There are three types: universal upgrades (which include gems) prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, like gems, are able to be put on any type of equipment. They offer a lesser bonus than upgrade components that have a type limitation. Infusions are jewels that can only be used in legendary and ascended equipment. They offer the same bonuses as jewels, but they cannot be used in any other equipment. Suffix upgrades can be added to gathering tools. They add a suffix to the end of the item's name. For example the addition of a Glyph will transform the staff wrapping of Minor Vigor into a Canthan staff wrapping of Minor Vigor.

If the player upgrades their gathering tool and replaces glyphs with another glyph, the old one will be returned to their inventory. However replacing any other upgrade component will destroy it, excluding the inscriptions that can be swapped.

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process is different from the previous versions in a few key ways. Gear is now categorised in tracks, and each item can be upgraded as many times before it's "leveled out." The upgrade cost increases with each level up however, the materials needed aren't as high. This lets players focus their efforts on a couple of essential items and maximize their impact, instead of spreading upgrade costs across several pieces.

This allows the item to receive upgraded components and a higher chance of success. This bonus is known as Artisan’s Energy and it resets to 0 if an upgrade fails, or increases if the upgrade succeeds.

After a piece has been upgraded to its highest level, it is able to get the affixes needed to enhance its abilities. The number of affixes that are available is contingent on the item's base type. For instance the rare or exclusive weapon that has a standard base will have no more than two affixes available for it, while a legendary armor will have up to eight affixes available for it.

Each upgrade requires a certain number of Flightstones or Crests, depending on whether the item upgrader is at its current level and what slot it is located in. Weapons will typically require more Flightstones than other equipment.

If an item does not get to its maximum level The NPC will offer the player the option of transfer it to another character and re-infuse it with an upgrade set that is different. This procedure can take as long as two hours, and costs the same amount of materials. However it has a lower rate of success.

To measure the height of a building engineers use an instrument to compare the measurement with a known reference point such as a benchmark or the elevation of the ground. This is known as a "level loop." It involves taking readings with the level, backsighting rod, and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method ensures that buildings are constructed to a high level of safety and accuracy.

Rerolling

Rerolling refers to the process of altering an Best item upgrader's upgrade components. It is a crucial aspect of the game and can dramatically enhance an item's strength and damage as well as other attributes. This can be done via the item menu or pressing the Reroll button of an upgraded Best item upgrade. Rerolling can be expensive and should only be performed in very rare instances.

The game allows players to recycle upgraded items, which can be used to acquire Reroll tokens. These tokens can be used to upgrade either the original item or a similar item. Recyclable items have a level gauge that shows how much of the upgrade gauge is filled. The rarity and the cost of upgrading an item determines the amount of level that has been filled.

In the past, certain upgrade items had priority affixes that made them easier to roll for than others. This meant that you'd get the stats that mattered most to your build often than others. These included things such as the armor's total armor, thorns and duration reduction stats that are controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.

This has changed since the last patch. Priority affixes have been removed, and all upgrades have the same chance of rolling each stat. This can be good or bad, depending on what you want and need from your equipment.

Each upgraded item may also have a unique fixed-value, fixed-value benefit that increases its power by a specific percentage. These bonuses are added in addition to the standard affixes. The more you improve a product, the higher the chance of receiving a unique bonus.

The game also has a number set that grants a bonus when three or four upgraded items from the set are placed on an unit. This is an excellent method to add lots of power to a character without spending a lot of money.

Many players prefer to reroll their gear and weapons, especially in the beginning stages of the game. Rerolling is a way to gain a stronger character faster, which allows you to progress in the game and attain higher levels.

Sets

Sets are collections that can be arranged in different ways. They could be of various sizes, have no elements, or only contain a single element. They can be used for organizing data or sorting information. They are also useful in analysing patterns. Sets can be categorized in a variety of ways, including by size and shape.

There are a range of set items available to upgrade in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Certain items are worth upgrading, others are not. Armor sets that provide the highest defense value or set bonuses are generally worth upgrading. However, most upgrades to weapons do not improve the quality of the item's stats when in comparison to their counterparts in purple. This makes them less attractive to upgrade if you already have lots of weapons or armor pieces already.

Some set items are upgraded to meet their unique procs that can be useful in certain builds. Guillaume's Face face and Aldur's Advance boots are examples of this. Both were upgraded from Exceptional Winged Helm and Exceptional Mirrored Boots respectively, increasing their defense by 217 to 321 (Strength requirement and Level requirement were increased as well).

Another reason to upgrade certain items is to bring them into parity with their levels. For example, the Immortal King set has a vast range of levels, ranging between 29 and 76. Upgrading lower-level set items can boost their defense and increase their competitiveness in terms of damage.

Clicking the Upgrade button will show the attributes of the item and the required items to upgrade it. This will display the item's features, as well as the items needed to upgrade it. For example the No-mouth Face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials as well as 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Alternately, players can visit the Leaderboard or Golden vendor in Cyrodiil to find out the upgrade requirements of specific items.

In general, weapons and armor have a higher trade value when they are updated. Particularly, for weapons that feature damage glyphs for spells or weapons, upgrading them to gold is recommended as it will provide a significant increase in their power. The armor that has a new appearance will also benefit from this because its defense will increase as it moves from purple to gold.
